This 1-day class will focus on conducting better field interviews with witnesses, victims, and criminal suspects and to get the truth from guilty criminal suspects. This class is designed to give the street cop a better advantage at obtaining statements to aid in any criminal investigation.

Corporal Jon Rappa started his career working in Loss Prevention in 1991, where he was tasked with interviewing dishonest employees. His law enforcement career started in 1997 when he accepted a position with the Florida Department of Corrections. He served with DOC for 4 years and left as a Sergeant. Jon became a Police Officer in 2001, working with the Lighthouse Point Police Department and the Gainesville Police Department.
He has been assigned to numerous positions with in the agencies to include: Patrol Officer, Field Training Officer, DEA Task Force, Narcotics Detective working a “Deep Undercover” assignment, Street & Violent Crimes Investigator, Juvenile Detective, and Robbery/Homicide Detective.
He has been teaching law enforcement related classes since 2017 and has taught for Santa Fe Institute of Public Safety, Law Enforcement Advanced Programs, and Advanced Police Concepts. He is known for his strong Interview and Interrogation Skills and is currently writing on a book on Interview & Interrogation.
