Jon Rappa started his career in Loss Prevention in 1992, interviewing dishonest employees. He started his Law Enforcement career in 1997, working as a corrections officer. Jon was promoted to Sergeant with the Department of Corrections before crossing over to Law Enforcement in 2001. He has over 12 years of investigative experience. His investigative experience is diverse in homicide, death investigations, robbery, violent crimes, and narcotics.
His past assignments include DEA Task Force Officer in South Florida, Narcotics Detective working “deep undercover” in Gainesville, Field Training Officer, Violent/Street Crimes Detecive, Juvenile Crimes Detective, Robbery, and Homicide Detective.
He is known for his strong interview and interrogation skills. Jon is a graduate of the Miami-Dade Medicolegal Death Investigations course and the 2019 Leadership Academy. In addition, he has hundreds of hours in career development courses to include numerous Interview and Interrogation certificates. Jon is an instructor at the Institute for Public Safety, Santa Fe College and teaches Interview and Interrogation classes to law enforcement around the country.
Additionally, he serves as a lead instructor for different law enforcement training companies to include Advanced Police Concepts and Law Enforcement Advanced Programs.
